
Samantha Guerry
Samantha is a health advocate and entrepreneur who is passionate about helping others navigate the challenges of chronic disease and disability. She has lived with Multiple Sclerosis for over 35 years.
My Story
Samantha is a former corporate marketing and communications strategist with a specialty in crisis management. For more than twenty years, she designed distinctive national brands, marketing and advertising campaigns for corporate and non-profit clients. She was the Founder and CEO of Sightline Marketing—an Inc. 5000 company that was voted one of the “Best Places to Work” by the Washington Business Journal, where she won numerous awards for her creative approach to marketing complex businesses and services for clients such as Rolls Royce, General Dynamics, Semester at Sea, the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, and Operation Smile.

Samantha was also the founder of the TurnFirst Foundation, a healthcare organization dedicated to providing information and support to patients newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which is now part of the Georgetown University MS Clinic. For more than a decade, she connected with an international online community of 65,000+ patients and coached newly diagnosed patients to help them be better prepared to take on the physical and emotional challenges of MS and advocate for themselves.

Samantha has taught a classes on Design-Based Thinking/Entrepreneurship at St. Lawrence University, as well as a Grand Rounds case for Georgetown University Medical School on Multiple Sclerosis. She has served as a guest lecturer on branding, marketing strategy, and entrepreneurship in the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business and at the University of Maryland.
As a Trustee of St. Lawrence University (2012-2022), she led the major university Taskforce on the Causes and Prevention of Sexual Misconduct and served as the Vice Chair of the University Admission and Recruitment Committee for nearly a decade.
Throughout her career, Samantha has written extensively both privately and professionally. Her letter to Congress in support of Dr. Christine Ford was included in the Houghton Mifflin’s anthology of “The Best American Nonrequired Reading of 2019”.
Now retired, Samantha supports her community of friends and neighbors as an herbalist and health coach. She is a certified Master Gardener, beekeeper, and naturalist with a comprehensive knowledge of medicinal plants native to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Ms. Guerry holds an M.B.A from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. with honors in English and Philosophy from St. Lawrence University.
